DESCRIPTION:Cultural Awareness: Discussing Culture at Work \nA free\, informal online workshop to gain confidence and skills discussing cultural difference across different contexts. \nThrough delivering inter-cultural training around Bristol over the past few years one thing has become clear: many of us feel uncertain when it comes to talking about culture. \n\nWhat are some of the strongest cultural influences in your own life?\nWhere should we draw the line with cultural relativity?\nWhen is it alright to ask someone where they are from?\nWhat is the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation?\n\nFrom the personal to the academic\, there are many ways to engage with this topic. Our approach is not to tell you what’s right or wrong but to encourage healthy\, connected discussion that helps us all learn and expand our awareness of different perspectives and experience.
