DESCRIPTION:  \nJune 9 lunchtime 12:00 – 14:00 \n\n\n\nFree \nJoin us on Tuesday 9th June for a Peace Feast\, bringing together neighbours in Knowle and Totterdown at Redcatch Garden. Featuring delicious vegetarian food and a short talk\, this is an opportunity to share stories and conversation around the table. We are especially inviting refugees and asylum seekers in the local area. \nDate: Tuesday 9th June 2026\, 12:00 – 14:00 \nLocation: Redcatch Garden\, Redcatch Park\, Knowle\, Bristol BS4 2RD \nTheme: Courage \n\nFunded by: Bristol Community Festival \n\nPart of the Bristol Refugee Festival \n\n\nTickets: Adult and Children go FREE. \nTickets are free and we’re asking people to still sign up so we know numbers for the chef. You can indicate any special dietary requirements when you book. Food is halal. \nPay it Forward tickets are also available – buying one of these enables us to invite someone to a future Peace Feast without cost. \n\nPeace Feasts bring people together around a meal\, to listen to music\, exchange stories and hear from guest speakers. They celebrate local communities\, help us to see the world through someone else’s eyes\, and create spaces for friendships to grow between people from different backgrounds and experiences of life.

DESCRIPTION:“It Takes a Village”: A Conversation on Community & Belonging\nMany will agree that “It takes a village to raise a child” but we can often take for granted that as we grow\, we need others for us to live well. We might be able to call a family member\, or chat with others online or at work\, but what role do our neighbours play in helping us to live well? And what responsibility do we have to help others live well? \nJoin us at Wellspring Settlement immediately following the community meal for an evening of shared stories and perspectives as we discuss how we build a sense of responsibility and care for everyone in our neighbourhood. \nWhat to Expect: \nUp to 12 participants in a group discussion around the given topic\, guided by 2 facilitators who will help everyone to be heard and ensure respectful dialogue. As part of this\, all participants are required to read and agree to the Listening Spaces Guidelines. \nNote: To ensure everyone has the chance to be heard\, spaces are strictly limited. \n  \nListening Spaces \n\n\nSpaces to listen and be heard across different cultures\, races\, faiths\, social class and political opinions.
