Bringing children together through classroom connections.
Bristol School Linking connects Year 5 & 8 classes across the city creating a year-long, impactful and enjoyable programme for all children whilst also being manageable for teachers. The programme is curriculum rich, promotes achievement, supports well-being and is based on evidence about effective social contact.
Together, in class, online and on school visits, the children from those classes explore four key questions:
Who am I? – Exploring Identity
Who are we? – Celebrating Diversity
Where do we live? – Promoting Community
How do we all live together? – Championing Equality
“Children have begun to reflect on the similarities and differences between themselves and children in our linking class, despite living in a different area. Children have begun to ask questions about life beyond Flax Bourton and shown an interest in learning about other beliefs/routines.”
“The opportunity to spend some time reflecting and personally developing has been so important for the children in among the busyness of a rammed timetable. Building connections and practicing social skills has been a key aspect of the linking programme and very supportive of the age group we are working with.”
Bristol School Linking is free, flexible and fully resourced (with the exception of coach travel for school visits). Get in touch via the form below with any enquiries or to sign up for 2024-25.
