Taking Flight for Christmas

Our Stitching Together hand-sewers are busy stitching birds for their Christmas tree at this year’s Treefest, taking place in the splendid gothic surroundings of St Mary Redcliffe church, Bristol. Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December.

Many organisations and charities take part, each one hanging a tree with decorations to celebrate their communities and contributions. We have chosen the theme of birds to represent our personal journeys and stories of migration. After Treefest, during the festive period, our tree will be displayed in Easton Family Centre.

We have sourced our tree from Aidbox’s Refutrees project which supports refugees through the sale of Xmas trees.

Our Stitching Together tree has been sponsored by The Arts Society Bristol.
