Around Sacred Texts (2026)

3-part series looking at common themes in texts that are sacred to people of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, with the hope of deepening our understanding of one another.
Wednesdays 7-9pm | 22nd April, 6th May & 20th May
How will these events be run?
Each evening will be hosted at a different faith centre and details will be sent after signing up to the event. We strongly encourage attending all three evenings so that discussion groups remain the same throughout the series.
The events are being co-hosted by a member of each faith, and all sacred texts will be checked by a trusted and learned leader. The themes for these evenings will be ‘Scripture’, ‘Prophecy’, and ‘Reconciliation with God (the role of sacrifice)’.
Each text will be looked at in a different order each time, and discussion around each text will be separate, we will not be actively comparing each text.
We hope to have an equal number of representatives from each faith around each table, or at least all three faiths represented around each table.
Any refreshments provided will be kosher and halal.
All participants will need to have read and agreed to the Listening Spaces (Around Sacred Texts) Guidelines.
Please note: further details will follow booking confirmation.
Listening Spaces are events that facilitate face-to-face, intentional listening and dialogue between people of different cultures, races, faiths, social class and political opinions.
