Listening Space: “It Takes a Village” (Wellspring Settlement Event)

“It Takes a Village”: A Conversation on Community & Belonging
Many will agree that “It takes a village to raise a child” but we can often take for granted that as we grow, we need others for us to live well. We might be able to call a family member, or chat with others online or at work, but what role do our neighbours play in helping us to live well? And what responsibility do we have to help others live well?
Join us at Wellspring Settlement immediately following the community meal for an evening of shared stories and perspectives as we discuss how we build a sense of responsibility and care for everyone in our neighbourhood.
What to Expect:
Up to 12 participants in a group discussion around the given topic, guided by 2 facilitators who will help everyone to be heard and ensure respectful dialogue. As part of this, all participants are required to read and agree to the Listening Spaces Guidelines.
Note: To ensure everyone has the chance to be heard, spaces are strictly limited.
Listening Spaces
Spaces to listen and be heard across different cultures, races, faiths, social class and political opinions. Please see our webpage for more information on the project or to get in touch.
