Listening Space: What do the flags mean to you? (Lockleaze)

December 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

Over the past few months, flags of St George and the Union Jack have been put up around the UK and in Bristol, evoking a range of opinions and feelings – for some a symbol of pride and belonging, and for others one of intimidation and exclusion. Most of the debate has taken place online, stoking emotions further and causing deeper divisions in our communities.

We are creating an opportunity for people of all viewpoints to come together for a facilitated group conversation around this topic, with the goal of building understanding.

Listening Spaces help us to explain our thoughts and feelings in a space where people have come to listen and to understand where one another are coming from.

Participants must read and agree to the Listening Spaces guidelines in order to attend, and to ensure that this is a respectful space for everybody.

Listening Spaces

Safe spaces to listen and be heard across different cultures, races, faiths and opinions. Please see our webpage for more information on the project or to get in touch.

With support from Quartet Community Foundation, Bristol City Council & others.
